Lapis Photo Contest 2015 Guidelines
Subject: "German Classics"
Since the great success of the two Lapis Photo Contests in 2012 and 2013, with more than 120 participants from 19 countries and a great number of excellent photographs, we are now well scheduled for our 2015 contest: It is dedicated to Classic Minerals from Germany – ranging from thumbnail to cabinet specimen size!
Please watch: The field of view (frame) of your image or subject must be at least 2 cm (20 mm) wide.
Join and win interesting prices, and maybe your photo gets to be a LAPIS cover shot!
1. How it works
Online submissions of your photos can be uploaded until February 28st 2015. Photos submitted after this date will not be considered. The winners will be named and contacted in April 2015.
3. Maximum Number of Submissions
Submission is limited to a maximum of three photos per participant. Photographers submitting more than three photos (or any slides/prints) will be disqualified from the photo contest.
The participant must be the photographer and copyright holder of the photos. --- The images must be submitted in best quality/resolution possible. --- The specimens must not have been published previously online and/or in print. --- The field of view (frame) of your image or subject must be at least 2 cm (20 mm) wide.
Please note: This contest refers to the quality of the image and the ability of the photographer. Any mineral species may be portrayed, but watch: We´ve got a photo contest and not a mineral specimen contest !!!
The editorial staff of LAPIS will judge all submissions by the end of March 2015 and announce the winners in April 2015.
With the submission of photos, the photographer grants LAPIS a royalty-free, non-exclusive right to publish the photo in facebook, the Mineral Magazine Lapis and/or on the website www.lapis.de <http://www.lapis.de>
